Delhi Capitals vs Kings XI Punjab; Match Report

It was just the second match of the biggest cricket Carnival of the country but showcased the real thrill and excitement, as we witnessed for the super over in the early stage of the tournament and the same offered nail biter finish. Both the team were able to score 157 runs in 20 overs then the super over was came into the game to decide the winner and Delhi Capitals beat its opponent.

Kings XI Punjab skipper KL Rahul won the toss and elected to bowl fast in the neat and empty stadium of Dubai. The skipper of the Punjab team gone through a dream Start as Delhi faced a horrible start. The team lost 3 wickets under four overs but Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer created a partnership that helped the team to move on from the horrible start. After that, we witnessed for a sensational inning by the all rounder Marcus Stoinis, he smashed 30 runs in the last 6 balls and that particular performance helped Delhi to score a decent total.

Speaking about the Punjab innings, the team was also not enjoyed a good performance in the match but Mayank Agrawal helped the team by sticking on the crease and he also capable to score a half-century but couldn’t finish the game as he was dismissed in the last over of the match and that resulted in the super over.

It is worth to mention that umpire was also a villain for the Punjab team as the ICC’s new Elite Panel entrant Nitin Menon, the umpire made an error by calling a run short when Chris Jordan ran the 22 yards for a couple of times in the 19th over of the match and if that error was not made then the result will be a different one.
