Rohit Sharma the sensational opening batsman and the successful leader of Mumbai Indians has said that he is ready to continue the opener position for the team in this season, and he also said that he will be happy to change the position if the situation demands for the same.
During the virtual press conference, the very popular cricketing star has confirmed that he is ready to play the upcoming season as the opener and he also said that he will be ready to change the position if the management asks and the situation demands for it. That said, he has played at fourth position in the previous seasons of the tournament and he gave opportunities for the youngsters to play as the opener and to find the new potentials.
Having said that, Rohit Sharma played the entire season in last year as the opener and he scored 405 runs from 16 games and guided his team from the front to lift the title for the fourth time and it is worth to mention that Mumbai Indians have won the IPL a record four times – 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019 under the leadership of Rohit Sharma.
The much anticipated IPL 2020 will start from tomorrow in UAE and Mumbai Indians will take on Chennai Super Kings in the opening match of the tournament.
