Paris Saint-Germain winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is facing an indefinite spell on the sidelines after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. The Georgian international sustained the severe injury during his first start of the European campaign in a dramatic four-goal thriller against Barcelona.
Medical evaluations confirmed that the 25-year-old forward will undergo immediate surgery to repair the ruptured ACL. The setback comes as a massive blow to the French giants as they defend their European crown. PSG have not yet provided a definitive recovery timeline for the player, though such severe knee injuries typically require months of intensive rehabilitation before a return to competitive action.
