India Squad Announced For Zimbabwe Tournament
After the ongoing West Indies tournament, India will play against Zimbabwe and now BCCI has announced the Indian Squad for the ODI matches against Zimbabwe. Shikhar Dhawan will be the captain of the side and regular captain Rohit Sharma along with some other key players like Virat Kohli, Mohammed Shami, and Jasprit Bumrah among others have been rested. It is worth mentioning that Shikhar Dhawan recently led the team India to a 3=0 victory over West Indies.
The series against Zimbabwe will start on August 18 in Harare and makes a return to the Indian team after a lengthy injury. BCCI has also included Rahul Tripathi in the squad along with Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav and Washington Sundar.
The bowling unit will have Mohammed Siraj along with Prasidh Krishna and Avesh Khan.
India’s squad for 3 ODIs: Shikhar Dhawan (Captain), Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shubman Gill, Deepak Hooda, Rahul Tripathi, Ishan Kishan (wicket-keeper), Sanju Samson (wicket-keeper), Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Avesh Khan, Prasidh Krishna, Mohd Siraj, Deepak Chahar.
