Rajasthan batsmen summed up a huge target which the Delhi team failed to chase.
Jos Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal opened for Rajasthan. They raked up a great partnership. The top individual score for the team came from Jos Buttler(116). Others who joined in building the score were Devdutt Padikkal(54), Sanju Samson(46 not out), Hetmyer(1 not out). With 5 extras, the team total came to 222-2 in 20 overs.
Delhi bowlers tried every trick to break Buttler’s form. By the time they succeeded, he had reached a century and beyond. The Delhi bowlers found it difficult to control the run flow. They were unable to gain many wickets as well. Khaleel Ahmed and Mustafizur plucked out a wicket each.
Prithvi Shaw and David Warner opened for Delhi Capitals. Rishabh Pant(44) was the highest individual scorer for the team. Rajasthan bowlers did a fine job at getting wickets and limiting runs. Prasidh Krishna knocked out 3 wickets while Ravichandran Ashwin got 2 wickets. Obed McCoy and Yuzvendra Chahal took a wicket each. Rajasthan bowlers were able to limit the Delhi batsmen to 207-8 in 20 overs. As the game ended, Rajasthan Royals won by 15 runs.
