The rough game continued with desperate attempts from Mumbai City to level the score. There were plenty of corners, fouls, free kicks, and attempts in the game.

It was like each team was counterbalancing the happenings affecting the other team. An unfortunate event happened for ATK in 24 minutes. Pritam Kotal of ATK scored an own goal. The score was tied.
Both teams changed their strategy to gain a lead. Attempts were made from both sides for this purpose. Everybody was careful not to let the opponent score a goal. The second half started and Mumbai City made substitutions in hopes that fresh players may bring about a change. Both teams were busy in attempts to gain a lead. ATK saw the advantage in trying out new players. Nobody succeeded in gaining a lead. In the end the match ended in a tie with Mumbai City FC-1 1-ATK Mohun Bagan FC.
