Although East Bengal failed to strengthen their lead, they were successful in maintaining the existing lead. Balwant Singh of East Bengal was booked with a yellow card in the second half extra time. The game was very exciting. SC East Bengal fans returned with a smile when FC Goa fans were disappointed. In the end, SC East Bengal emerged victorious against FC Goa.
