Meanwhile Kerala Blasters were trying to defend their lead. With the second goal for Goa from Edu Bedia, those attempts turned towards reclaiming a lead. In fact, both teams were desperately trying to gain a lead over each other for the rest of the first half.
The second half started. Both teams had only one strategy, which was to score a goal while preventing advances from the opposite team. As a result, both teams failed to score a goal in the second half. The match ended in a tie. Both teams had 2 goals in their name. The final scoreboard read Kerala Blasters FC 2 – 2 FC Goa.
