Starc(35) was a valuable contribution as well. With other small combinations, Australia built up a whopping score of 425-10 in 104.3 overs in the first innings.
Although England set out to chase the big target in the second innings, the Australian bowlers made sure they failed. The supreme bowling squad crushed England to a 297-10 in 103 overs in the second innings. Root(89) and Malan(82) were the major scorers for England in the second innings. Haseeb Hameed(27) and Jos Buttler(23) were other contributors.
With their massive score in the first innings, the Australian team needed just a handful of runs to win the whole match. Alex Carey(9) and Marcus Harris(9) opened for Australia in the second innings. Along with 2 extras, they won the match.
