After appointing the captain of T20 format of the team India, now the BCCI has appointed Rohit Sharma as the full-time captain of One Day internationals. Moreover, The selection committee has also appointed him as the vice-captain of test matches.
BCCI announced that Rohit Sharma is now taking the charge from Virat Kohli to lead the team India in the ODIs and T20 format. He will be the deputy of Virat Kohli in the long format of the game as well. Rohit Sharma is really dangerous when he gets the responsibility of captaincy and Mumbai Indians success journey is the biggest example of that.
Alongside the announcement of the new captain, BCCI has also announced the Squad for the upcoming South African tournament as well. Virat Kohli will be leading the side and Rohit Sharma will be the vice-captain of the tournament. Ajinkya Rahane who is disappointing fans with his bat is also included in the team of the South African tournament.
KL Rahul is now back in the team along with Rishabh Pant, Mohammed Shami, Shardul Thakur, and Jasprit Bumrah, it is worth mentioning that these players were not played against New Zealand last month. KL Rahul was injured and the rest of the players were rested.
Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, and Shubman Gill were dropped due to the injury. While Jayant Yadav has been included in the squad along with Ravichandran Ashwin.
