The tenure of Ravi Shastri is ending after the upcoming T20 World Cup and the same will start from tomorrow onwards. Well, BCCI was on the hunt for a new head coach for team India, and there were speculations about Rahul Dravid becoming the head coach but it was reported that Dravid is not interested and he will continue as the boss of the National Cricket Academy. But there is a twist as Rahul Dravid is now appointed as the head coach of the team India.
The president of BCCI Sourav Ganguly and one of the top most executives of BCCI Jay Shah discussed with Rahul Dravid and made him agree to become the head coach of team India and he will take over Ravi Shastri after the T20 World Cup.
It is also confirmed that the contract of Rahul Dravid is for 2 years that means he will be the head coach for team India till 2023. Along with Rahul Dravid, the BCCI has also replaced the bowling coach and Paras Mhambrey is appointed as the head bowling coach of team India. It is worth mentioning that Paras is the most trusted Lieutenant of Rahul Dravid.
Speaking about the salary, it is revealed that Rahul Dravid will draw 10 crore as the salary for his new position.
