Australia gathers a team of experienced bigshots for the T20 World Cup 2021 in the UAE and Oman. The selectors name a squad of fifteen men with the star players of the country. Aaron Finch, expected to make a full recovery from a knee surgery is the skipper for the squad. Moreover Steve Smith to join after recovery from an elbow injury.
A long range of experienced players like Pat Cummins, David Warner, Marcus Stoinis, Glenn Maxwell and Kane Richardson are included in the squad as they were unable to be a part of the recent tours of West Indies and Bangladesh.
Wicketkeeper batsman Josh Inglis replaces Alex Carey, who lead the West Indies ODI series. Inglis was the leading run-scorer in the Vitality T20 Blast in England.
Mitchell Spawson a leg spinner who played in West Indies and Bangladesh recently is the third spinner in the squad after Adam Zampa and Ashton Agar.
The reserve players are all rounders Dan Christian and Daniel Sams as well as Nathan Ellis, who scored a hat-trick in his Bangladesh debut. All of them will be with the team, travelling for the showpiece event.
Australia who never won the tournament will kick off the super 12 matches against South Africa on 23rd October.
