Marc Marquez’s Return To Racing Delayed

Marc Marquez had a crash in the season opener and underwent surgery following his injury at the event in Jerez.

He attempted a brave comeback for the second round of the championship, only to be withdrawing himself following a swelling in his arm after completing FP3 and FP4.

Marc was expected to return for the Czech GP. But unfortunately, the plate fitted to his arm broke when he attempted to open window at his home.

So, he underwent another operation to have a new plate fitted, which ruled him out until the double-header in Austria.

With the recovery of his arm taking longer than anticipated, the team decided not to rush his return for at least two months so that he can recover completely and return only when he is 100 per cent.

That should end the speculation running around his return to action.

Marc Marquez currently has a 67 points gap to the top of the championship, to add to his absence of two months, which should put him out of contention for his seventh premier class title.

However, with the compressed nature of the pandemic delayed 2020 season, it seems unlikely Marc Marquez will return to action this year

HRC test rider Stefan Bradl, who is deputising for the injured World Champion will continue to ride for the team in his absence along with his brother Alex Marquez.

Moto GP world championship is currently lead by Fabio QUARTARARO for Yamaha Satellite Team, Petronas SRT Yamaha with 67 Points after four rounds.
