Match Progress and Batting Brilliance
Sent in to bat after a prolonged rain delay pushed the start to 9.15 pm, India aggressively adapted to the shortened nine-over format. Ishan Kishan launched a brutal assault on fast bowler Romario Shepherd, hammering 24 runs in a single over featuring two sixes and two fours. Sanju Samson also chipped in with a brisk cameo before falling to Shamar Springer, who rattled his off-stump. Captain Shreyas Iyer added crucial runs before getting caught in the deep off Keemo Paul, leaving the hosts at 88 for four.
