Team India Beats England By 4 Wickets And Leads In 3 Matches Series

After a successful T20 Series against England, team India started their campaign of ODI series against England in India. The first match was played at Nagpur and Virat Kohli was not available in the game. The captain Rohit Sharma was not able to find the momentum but India registered a comfortable victory over England by keeping for wickets in hand. So let’s check out the game between India versus England.

India won the game by 4 wickets

England won the toss and elected to bat first and the openers provided a fantastic start. Phil Salt smashed 43 from just 26 while his partner Ben Duckett contributed 32 from 29. Joe Root went back to the pavilion after scoring 19 while Harry Brook was not able to open his account.

The captain of the side Jos Buttler played brilliant innings by smashing 52 along with Jacob Bethell who contributed 51. England finished the innings at 248 in 47.4 overs.

In the reply, team India had a bad start as they lost Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma for 15 and 2 respectively. Shubman Gill came at the third position and he contributed 87 to the total that was the pillar of the Indian innings.

Shreyas Iyer added 59 to the total from 36 while Axar Patel smashed 52 and Rabindra Jadeja remained not out after scoring 12. It was enough for team India to reach the target in 38.4 overs. Team India is now leading the three match series by 1-0.
