Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and opted to bowl first. Their strategy did not go according to plan. Lucknow bowlers had a tight grip over the Kolkata team. Kolkata bowlers somewhat managed to stop Lucknow from attaining a massive total and setting a huge target. Anyways, it was a decent score. Southee, Ankul Roy, and Indrajith did not score any runs. With 3 extras, Kolkata Knight Riders reached 101-10 in 14.3 overs.
Lucknow bowlers were very prominent in restricting runs and getting wickets. Avesh Khan and Jason Holder knocked out 3 wickets each while Mohsin Khan, Chameera, and Ravi Bishnoi gained a wicket each. As the game came to an end, Lucknow Super Giants won by 75 runs.
