The sensational opening batsman Rohit Sharma appeared in the 125th T20 match, the highest by any player. In the first T20 match of the Sri Lanka tournament, Rohit Sharma has broken Martin Guptill record to become the highest run-scorer in the shortest format.
Rohit Sharma has also taken 50 catches in the shortest format of the game and its the highest by an Indian player. The Indian skipper will now join the likes of Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Babar Azam in an elusive list of players who scored 1000 runs since being named captain.
