BCCI has finally revealed the date which the entire cricket lovers were waiting for the past couple of weeks, as it is officially revealed that the IPL 2022 season will start on March 26 and it is also confirmed that they will allow audience in the ground for the upcoming matches as well. It is officially confirmed that the IPL 2022 season will start in Mumbai on March 26 and the tournament will end on May 29. It is worth mentioning that this year, we will have two more teams in the tournament and the name of the latest teams are Lucknow Supergiants and Gujarat Titans.
The upcoming tournament will host 74 matches and 70 of them being played at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium and Brabourne Stadium along with Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil ground and Gahunje Stadium in Pune.
The iconic Wankhede stadium and DY Patil will host 20 games, while 15 each will be hosted at Brabourne and Gahunje Stadium. Moreover, it is also revealed that 40% of audience will be allowed in the ground to witness the exciting matches.
