Hyderabad FC tops the table after winning the ISL match against Odisha FC on 27 January 2022. The match was very exciting. Odisha tried their best to take the match to a draw. Hyderabad managed to win in the end. Akash Mishra of Hyderabad is crowned as the player of the match for his efforts.
Hyderabad starts off in an aggressive manner. Souvik Chakraborty of Hyderabad is shown the yellow card in 9 minutes. The game progressed with attempts, fouls, freekicks and corners. In 38 minutes, Javi Hernandez of Odisha received a yellow card for a bad foul.
The game reached 44 minutes when Jerry Mawihmingthanga broke the deadlock and took Odisha to the lead. Hyderabad was now desperate to level the scoreboard. The first half ended with Odisha in the lead with a goal.
The second half started and Hyderabad thought of making some substitutions. They wanted to see if fresh players brought about a change. Meanwhile, Odisha was busy trying to strengthen their lead while defending it. Hyderabad leveled the score in 50 minutes when Joel Chianese scored with an assist from Akash Mishra.
The game proceeded with corners, fouls, freekicks, and attempts from both sides. Hyderabad made a couple more substitutions. The substitutions brought about a new energy in the Hyderabad team. They took the lead in 69 minutes. Joao Victor scored for Hyderabad with Ashish Rai’s assist. Liridon Krasniqi of Odisha received a yellow card in 70 minutes.
Akash Mishra scored for Hyderabad in 72 minutes with Mohammed Yasir’s assist. Odisha was now desperate. In an attempt to level the score, Jonathas scored for Odisha with Redeem Tlang’s assist.
Joel Chianese of Hyderabad got a yellow card in 91 minutes. Odisha tried very hard to level the score. In the end, Hyderabad FC won with 3 goals.
