Chennaiyin FC came out victorious against Hyderabad FC in the ISL match on 23 November 2021. Chennai won the match 1-0. It was Vladimir Koman who made the goal. Hyderabad FC conceded a penalty after a foul in the penalty area. Koman took the shot for Chennai and the ball found the net.
Hitesh Sharma conceded the penalty for a foul in the penalty area. It gave Chennai the perfect opportunity to take a lead. Koman made the shot beautifully, breaking the deadlock and giving Chennai the lead.
Overall it was an exciting game. Both teams tried desperately for a goal. The defenders on both sides did an amazing job preventing the opponent advances. There were a fair share of missed attempts and saved shots for both sides.
It was an aggressive game. Both teams committed a great deal of fouls, winning the opponent free kicks. One of these freekicks proved to be very expensive for Hyderabad. It gave Chennai the penalty which made it to the winning goal.
The first half of the game remained goalless, both teams failing to find the net. However, it wasn’t eventless. There were a great deal of corners, missed attempts, saved attempts and of course fouls.
For a game so aggressive, there were only two yellow cards shown. Rahim Ali of Chennaiyin FC received the first yellow in 58 minutes for a bad foul. The second yellow was issued to Narayan Das of Chennaiyin FC for a bad foul in 63 minutes.
It is just unfortunate for Hyderabad that after two yellow cards, Chennai got a penalty which sealed Hyderabad’s fate. The Hyderabad fans were really disappointed when the referee granted that penalty. They were even more grief stricken when Koman turned it into a goal in 65 minutes. In the end, Chennaiyin FC came out victorious against Hyderabad FC.
