Pakistan Continues Winning Momentum

Pakistan enjoying back-to-back victories in the T20 World Cup tournament as they defeated Afghanistan in a close match and registered their third victory in the tournament. Afghanistan showcased an amazing performance, especially with the bowl. It is worth mentioning that Asif Ali did the job for Pakistan as he smashed four sixes in an over and that made Pakistan to reach the target. Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bat first in the match and they didn’t had a good start as their opening batsman Hazratullah Zazai went back to the pavilion without scoring a single run while Mohammad Shahzad added 8 runs in his account.

After that, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Asghar Afghan scored 10, while Karim Janat added 15 runs. The scoring rate of Afghanistan was disappointing but the sensational performance of Najibullah Zadran scored 22 and the captain Mohammad Nabi smashed 32 runs along with Gulbadin Naib and he smashed 35 runs from just 25 deliveries. This made Afghanistan to score 147/6 after 20 overs on the board.

It was not a good start for Pakistan as well, Mohammad Rizwan was dismissed for just 8 while the captain showcased his character as Babar Azam scored 51 runs in the match. Fakhar Zaman added 30 runs in his account while the middle order, Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik was not able to find momentum as they were dismissed for 10 and 19 runs respectively.

However, it was a tense situation for Pakistan as they required 24 runs and Asif Ali showcased an amazing performance as he smashed 4 sixes in an over and registered a victory over Afghanistan.
