The men in blue in Srilanka to play three-match ODI series and three-match T20I series and the same was scheduled to play on July 13 with ODI series but now we got information that the series pushed back for 5 days. The reason behind the pushing back of the series is the deadly coronavirus.
Sri Lanka traveled the way back from the United Kingdom and on the return the batting coach Grant Flower and data analyst G T Niroshan tested positive for the coronavirus.
Now it is revealed that the tournament will start on July 18, 20, and 23 at the Premadasa Stadium. After that, the T20 Internationals, starting on July 25.
The last two T20Is are set to be played on July 27 and 29, respectively, at the same venue.
Shikhar Dhawan will lead the team in Sri Lanka and Rahul Dravid will be the head coach as the regular Captain and the key players are busy in the duties in England.
