Switzerland Thrashed France To Qualify For Quarter-Finals

Switzerland beats the World Champions France and qualifies to the last eight round in the Euro 2020 tournament. The thrilling match was extended to the penalty shootout and Switzerland registered a victory over France. It was a high voltage game and Switzerland got a lead in the early stage of the match which gave positive energy. Haris Severovic scored a goal in the 15th minute of the match and provided an advantage to Switzerland in the first half. Switzerland was capable to keep the lead in the entire first half of the match and it is worth mentioning that France tried to score a couple of times but they failed.

However, France came back strongly in the match in the second half as Karim Benzema scored two back to back goals and gave the lead. He scored goals at the 57 and 59th minute of the match which helped his side to get the lead on the board. After that, Paul Pogba netted the ball at 75th minute and made the goal count to 3-1.

But Severovic scored again for Switzerland at 81 minute and Mario Gavranovic equalized in the 90th minute. That extended the match to the penalty shootouts and Switzerland beat the World Champions 5-4.
