BCCI Announces Squad For World Test Championship Final

The outbreak of the second wave of coronavirus made the IPL 2021 postponed but the Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced the team for the upcoming and the much anticipated final match of the World Test Championship and the same will happen in the month of June this year. The team which will play in the final match of the World Test Championship will also take on England in the five-match series. Ravindra Jadeja and the sensational fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah returned to the squad and the selectors also called Hanuma Vihari, who missed the Test series against England with an injury.

Having said that, KL Rahul and Wriddhiman Saha also selected but their inclusion is “subject to fitness clearance”. The selectors have dropped the all-rounder Hardik Pandya, leg-spinner Kuldeep Yadav, fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

BCCI also named Abhimanyu Easwaran, Prasidh Krishna, Avesh Khan, Arzan Nagwaswalla phone the upcoming matches.

India’s squad: Virat Kohli (capt), Ajinkya Rahane (vice capt), Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara, Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant (wk), Ravichnadran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur, Umesh Yadav.
