It was the show of Mumbai Indians, as the team dominated over Delhi Capitals in both the batting as well as the bowling department of the match. Mumbai Indians registered a massive 57 runs victory over Delhi and stormed into the final of the IPL 2020 tournament. Shreyas Iyer the captain of Delhi Capitals won the toss and elected to field first in the Dubai stadium. Mumbai Indians started with a positive attitude, as the South African wicket keeper batsman de Kock started the innings with a sensational shot straight down to the ground and scored four runs on the very first delivery which he faced.

The left-handed South Africa batsman scored 15 runs in the very first over of the match and that promised to set a massive target on the board. After losing his partner, de Kock continuously dominated over the bowlers of Delhi and he went back to the pavilion after scoring 41 runs from just 25 deliveries for his team. Then it was the turn of Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan as both the players scored half century in quick session and Hardik Pandya also showcased fireworks in the middle of the Dubai cricket stadium. The sensational performance of The Young players of the team helped to reach 200 runs on the board after 20 overs.

It is worth to mention that the defending champions accumulated 55 runs off the last three overs and Ishan Kishan smashed six in the last ball of the match to end the innings.

Delhi Capitals got a big blow in the early stage of the match, as they lost their top order batsmen for golden ducks. Trent Boult removed Prithvi Shaw (0) and he trapped Ajinkya Rahane (0) lbw with a searing in-swinger in the same over. Then it was the turn of the Indian sensational fast bowler Bumrah who bowled Shikhar Dhawan (0) with a yorker to leave Delhi 0 for 3.

Then the captain of Delhi Shreyas Iyer tried to rebuild the innings by scoring 32 runs and the all rounders of the team Marcus Stoinis and Axar Patel also contributed their best and Stoinis scored half century but that was not enough for the massive total of Mumbai Indians and at the end of the match Delhi Capitals lost to Mumbai Indians by 57 runs.

With this victory, the defending Champions Mumbai Indians stormed into the final of the IPL 2020 and the Delhi Capitals has yet another chance to qualify for the final and the same will happen if they can able to beat the winner of the Eliminator which will be decided today when Royal Challengers Bangalore will play against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
