Vihaan Joshi Wins Inaugural F1 Sim Racing India Open Title

F1 Sim Racing returned to the spotlight in India as 10-year-old Vihaan Joshi claimed the Under-15 national championship title. The Mumbai youngster showcased exceptional skill to dominate the inaugural edition of the prestigious competition. Meanwhile, Agastya Ivan Crasto and Hridaan Sanadhya secured the remaining podium spots after a series of intense virtual races. This event marks a significant step in identifying young talent through digital platforms. As a result, these athletes can now transition into professional karting and real-world motorsport.

  • Vihaan Joshi won five out of six races to secure the Under-15 national title.
  • Agastya Ivan Crasto finished second while Pune’s Hridaan Sanadhya took the third position.
  • The competition featured 20 finalists racing on iconic tracks like Bahrain and Yas Marina.
  • Top performers from the senior category will represent India at the upcoming Cup of Nations.

National Finals Performance

Vihaan Joshi demonstrated remarkable consistency throughout the national finals. He represented Podar ORT International School and maintained a hot streak by winning nearly every race in the junior category. Consequently, he finished with 134 points to comfortably lead the standings. Because the competition utilized official tracks, the young drivers had to master technical circuits like Barcelona-Catalunya and the Albert Park Circuit.

Later, the organizers confirmed that these results reflect the growing interest in digital motorsport across the country. As a result, the top three drivers received significant recognition for their technical precision and racing intelligence. These young competitors proved that India possesses a deep pool of talent ready for global challenges.

Future of F1 Sim Racing in India

Mumbai Falcons Racing Limited organized this event to build a sustainable talent pipeline for Indian motorsport. The F1 Sim Racing initiative serves as the foundation for the “One in a Billion” program. This project aims to find the next Indian Formula 1 driver by bridging the gap between gaming and professional racing. Therefore, the best junior performers will now transition into a structured karting program to hone their skills on physical tracks.

Additionally, the senior open category winners will prepare for the international Cup of Nations. This global tournament will see India compete against the world’s best sim racers starting November 7. Eventually, MFRL hopes these digital pathways will produce athletes capable of winning FIA-accredited championships on the global stage.
