Royal Challengers Bengaluru clinched their second IPL trophy as they won the final match of the IPL 2026 with the power of a stunning 75* off 42 by Virat Kohli.
RCB was chasing a target of 156, and the chase master Virat Kohli remained unbeaten from start to finish of the game and guided his side to their second successive IPL title.
It is worth mentioning that Virat Kohli battled through injury and smashed the fastest half-century of his IPL career. Having said that, RCB also showcased incredible performance with ball. The bowling unit of RCB restricted Gujarat Titans at 155/8 in 20 overs.
Shubman Gill and opening partner Sai Sudharsan departed in the powerplay and that was a big shock for Gujarat Titans. Washington Sundar contributed a half century in the match. Rasikh Salam Dar took three wickets, while Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked up two wickets each for RCB.
