Virat Kohli Announces Retirement From Test Cricket

It is a very disappointing week for the fans of Indian cricket, Rohit Sharma announced his retirement from the test format, a few days ago. Now we have some shocking news. The sensational batsman Virat Kohli has announced retirement from test cricket, which means we can’t see him playing in whites.

Virat Kohli is yet breach the 10,000-run mark but Virat Kohli felt it was the right time to walk away from the format. He has scored 9230 runs from 23 Tests at an average of 46.8 and ending as India’s fourth-highest run-scorer in Tests behind Sachin Tendulkar (15,921), Rahul Dravid (13265), and Sunil Gavaskar (10122).

Virat Kohli is signing off from the test format after 14 years of career and Virat Kohli enjoyed many highs, winning 40 wins from 68 matches. This includes India’s memorable series win in Australia for the 2018-19 Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Under his captaincy, India won the ICC mace five years in a row, finishing as the No. 1-ranked Test team.

It is worth mentioning that Virat Kohli has already retired from the T20 format as well. Now we can see him playing in ODI format only.
