Ajinkya Rahane took the responsibility from Shreyas Iyer who led KKR to an IPL title win last year. The all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer, who was signed for Rs 23.75 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction is appointed as the vice captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders.
The first match of Kolkata Knight Riders is against Royal Challengers Bengaluru and the match will be played on March 22 at Kolkata.
