Rishabh Pant came out to bat at the third position and he smashed 20 from 11. After losing 3 wickets, it was the time for middle orders to take the responsibility and Suryakumar Yadav showcased his character by smashing 53 from 28 while Shivam Dube added 10 to the total.
Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja contributed 32 and 7 respectively. Axar Patel contributed 12 while Arshdeep Singh added 2 and team India finished the innings at 181 with the loss of 8 wickets after 20 overs on the board.
The reply of Afghanistan was not that good as they lost the opening players very cheaply. Rahmanullah Gurbaz contributed 11 while Hazratullah Zazai added 2 and Ibrahim Zadran contributed 8.
Gulbadin Naib and Azmatullah Omarzai contributed 17 and 26 respectively. Najibullah Zadran contributed 19 while Mohammad Nabi added 14 and the captain of the side Rashid Khan added 2. Noor Ahmad added 12 and Fazalhaq Farooqi contributed 4 but that was not enough for Afghanistan as they ended the innings at 134. Team India won the match by 47 runs.
