It was the last match for both Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians in the 17th edition of IPL as both teams were not able to qualify for the next round of the tournament. Mumbai Indians wanted to finish of with happy faces but that did not happen as the batting lineup of Lucknow Super Giants presented a massive total and the bowling unit of their side responded really well. Mumbai Indians won the toss and elected to field first but the batting unit of Lucknow Super Giants never allowed the bowling unit of Mumbai Indians to come in the match. KL Rahul smashed 55 from 41 and Marcus Stoinis contributed 28.

Deepak Hooda went back to the pavilion after scoring 11 to the total but the firework of Nicholas Pooran was helpful for the side to present a massive total. He smashed 75 from just 29 while Ayush Badoni and Krunal Pandya contributed 22 and 12. The team finished the innings at 214 with the loss of 6 wickets.

It is sad to say that Mumbai Indians finished their campaign at the 10th position on the points table in the 17th edition of IPL. There are various reasons including the poor decision of the management to appoint Hardik Pandya as the captain of the side. Hardik Pandya was totally failed in this tournament. Hardik Pandya showcased poor captaincy and he was not informed with both bat and ball. Let’s hope that the management will do the needful for the next season and Mumbai Indians will bounce back.
