It seems that BCCI is conducting a musical chair competition for the role of captain in the Indian cricket team, as now BCCI has announced the Squad for the upcoming West Indies tournament and named Shikhar Dhawan as the new captain.
BCCI has announced the Indian squad for three ODIs of the upcoming West Indies tournament and after the three one-day internationals, team India will play 5 T20 matches against West Indies. BCCI has rested the favorites like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Jasprit Bumrah. The tournament will start on July 22.
It is worth mentioning that Ravindra Jadeja is the vice captain of team India for the upcoming West Indies tournament. The decision is interesting as Ravindra Jadeja resigned his captaincy in Chennai Super Kings to focus on the game, according to the official words.
