Bengaluru FC gained victory over Northeast United FC in the ISL match on 20 November 2021. Bengaluru gained 4 goals over Northeast’s 2 goals. Cleiton Silva got the player of the match award.
After some missed attempts, fouls and free kicks, Bengaluru finally broke the deadlock in 13 minutes when Cleiton Silva gained the first goal with an assist from Kumam Udanta Singh. Deshorn Brown struck back in 16 minutes levelling the score with an assist from Suhair VP.
Mashoor Shereef of Northeast scored a self goal in 22 minutes, giving Bengaluru a lead with 2 goals. Mathias Coureur levels the score for Northeast United in 24 minutes by scoring a goal.
Bengaluru took the lead yet again as Jayesh Rane scored with an assist from Cleiton Silva. The first half ended with Bengaluru in the lead with 3 goals.
The second half saw Northeast United resorting to a more aggressive game to even the score board and try to take a lead. However their efforts did not bear fruit. Bengaluru tightened their grip over their lead when Prince Ibara scored a goal in 81 minutes with an assist from Alan Costa.
It was an exciting game. Both teams presented spectacular gameplay. The teams were head to head, pretty much to the end point. However, the last goal from Prince sealed the match, gaining Bengaluru a win.
The efforts of Cleiton Silva are to be duly noted. His efforts gained him the Player Of The Match title. With an assist and a goal to his name, he was certainly deserving of the title.
Northeast United FC put up a great fight, but did not get the desired result. Mashoor Shereef’s own goal was a downsider for Northeast United as well. Regardless of that, Bengaluru FC managed to get a lead. At the end,Bengaluru FC gained victory over Northeast United FC.
