Ronaldo gets a great second debut in Manchester United in the Premier League match against Newcastle United on 11 September 2021.
The match kicked off and the first goal came for Manchester in the extra time of the first half of the game at 47 minutes.
It is Ronaldo behind the ball as Greenwood comes inside from the right, Woodman behind him, who spills the ball which lands at Ronaldo’s feet. He taps it in and it is a goal for Manchester United.
It is half time after two minutes at 49 minutes, including the 4 minutes add on time. Newcastle United strikes back at 56 minutes in the second half. It is Javi Manquillo who takes the shot to the far bottom corner.
The scores are tied and the game moves forward. At 60 minutes, the referee pulls out the yellow card against Paul Pogba of Manchester United as he turns with the ball and lands on Longstaff’s foot as he does so.
Within 2 minutes, Ronaldo strikes again with another goal. He collects the ball from Pogba, stays onside and shoots through Woodman’s legs into the back of the net.
Manchester United uses their first substitution at 66 minutes pulling out Jadon Sancho and letting in Jesse Lingard.
At 77 minutes, Newcastle substituted Jacob Murphy for Javi Manquillo.
Bruno Fernandes scored for Manchester United in the 80th minute. The ball goes from De Gea to Greenwood to Pogba to Fernandes. He takes a shot from the edge of the D and it is Manchester United – 3 Newcastle United – 1.
Newcastle pulls out Ciaran Clark and substitutes him with Jamal Lewis in the 84th minute. Manchester follows in the 85th minute as they substitute Donny van de Beek for Mason Greenwood and Anthony Martial for Bruno Fernandes.
Newcastle also use their last substitution as they withdraw Joseph Willock and give his place to Jeffrey Hendrick.
Manchester United tries to stall the game by keeping possession of the ball and as a bonus, Jesse Lingard scores one more goal for Manchester in 92 minutes. Pogba gives to Martial, who steps over it and lets the ball through to Lingard who curls the ball past Woodman.
