Leon Goretzka Equalizer Draws Against Hungary

A late goal helped Germany to equalize the match against Hungary and the game was ended with a score line of 2-2. Hungary gave a shock at the early stage of the game but Germany succeed to draw the game. The captain of Hungary Adam Szalai gave an early lead to his side with a goal at the eleventh minute of the game and that was a shocking incident for the players of Germany. Hungary was capable to keep the lead in the complete first half of the game.

However, Germany came back with the equalizer at the 66th minute of the game and the goal came from the boot of Kai Havertz. Having said that, just a couple of minutes later Andras Schaefer netted the ball and gave Hungary the lead again on the board.

But Leon Goretzka came off the bench to rescue Germany’s Euro 2020 campaign with a late equalizer at the 84th minute of the match and that resulted in 2-2 draw against Hungary in Munich.

Germany will now play in the next round of the tournament but the result of the game eliminates Hungary who finished bottom of Group F.
