After the suspension of the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League due to the outbreak of the second wave of coronavirus, team India is gearing up to fly to play against New Zealand in the final of the World Test Championship and after that India will play 5 match test series against England.
The head coach of team India made a blueprint and Ravi Shastri says that the new methods will help the players to adopt the overseas conditions easily, Ravi Shastri introduced 3 new training techniques. So without making any further delay let’s dive into the article to check out the newly introduced training methods.
The first method of the newly introduced training techniques, the coach will shorten the length of the pitch from 22 yards to 16 yards while facing the robot arm in the training nets. According to the head coach, this technique will help the players to get used to pace something which the batsmen are going to face in the upcoming matches as we know that the pitches of England support the fast bowlers.
Now coming to the second method, Ravi Shastri is planning to bring the pre-shined balls in the training nets and this will help the players to make the shiny side heavier. This technique will help the batting lineup of the team India to get their decision making when they are planning to leave the ball.
Then the team India will practice the art of living which is very crucial in the Test Cricket format. This will also enable the batsmen of the team to understand and access the conditions along with the field.
The new training methods are expected to help the batting lineup and also to spend more time on the pitch. As we know that the conditions in England are extremely different from what the players are used in the country.
