The governing body of cricket ICC has announced the schedule for the women’s World Cup 2022. That means we will witness the much-anticipated world Cup matches of women’s in 2022 and the same will happen in New Zealand. The tournament will include 31 matches and that would be played in 31 days. Women’s World Cup 2022 will start on March 4, 2022, and it will happen till April 3. As I mentioned above, there will be 31 matches in the tournament and it would be played in 31 days and New Zealand will host the matches in six cities and that includes Auckland, Tauranga, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin.
The first match of the tournament will be played by the host New Zealand against the qualifier and the team India will start their campaign on March 6 and the opponent will be a qualifier.
Semi final matches of the tournament will be played in Wellington and Christchurch on March 30 and March 31 respectively. The final match of the tournament will be played in Christchurch.
It is worth to mention that the tournament was originally scheduled in February 2021 but due to the outbreak of coronavirus and the current scenario of the world, ICC postponed the world cup tournament.
