Cricket Australia Introduces New Three Rule In Big Bash League

Big Bash League (BBL) is the very popular T20 tournament after the Indian Premier League, now Cricket Australia has implemented three new rules in the upcoming edition of the T20 tournament. The latest rules of the tournament is really innovative and the same will bring more excitement into the game from the point of view of a fan as well as the player. The committee behind the very popular Big Bash League introduced three new rules and they are Power Surge, X-Factor Player, and Bash Boost. Now let’s check out each and every rule of the upcoming edition of the T20 tournament in detail.

Power Surge

This rule is meant for the batting department as the guys behind the event will reduce the power play to first 4 overs of the batting team and the team able to take the remaining two overs as Power Surge after 11th over that means they can able to accelerate runs after getting a good partnership or when you have the hard hitters in the middle.

X-Factor Player

This will allow a team to change a player at the 10th over of the innings and it is something like the Super-Sub which was introduced in the international cricket a couple of years ago and the idea was came out from the head of the legendary Sunil Gavaskar. The team management needs to name the player as 12th or 13th man on the team sheet and they can able to replace that particular player with the player who is playing in the playing 11. Having said that, the captain can only replace a player who is not used for more than one over to bowl or the player is yet to bat in the inning.

Bash Boost

Big Bash League offers three points for the winning side and with the implementation of this particular rule, the team will gain one extra point, if the team who is batting second has the equivalent 10 overs of their opposition.
