T20 World Cup 2026: Finn Allen Slams Historic Century And Takes New Zealand To Final

The first semi final match of the T20 World Cup 2026 tournament was between the unbeaten South Africa and New Zealand but South Africa was never in the game as both batting and bowling departments of South Africa didn’t create any problem to the players of New Zealand. Finn Allen was the man behind the successful victory of New Zealand as he smashed the historic century from just 33 balls. The unbeaten South Africa struggled against New Zealand and the bowling unit of South Africa was destroyed by Finn Allen. He smashed the fastest century in T20 World Cup history, and he smashed the century from just 33 balls, to help New Zealand to easily chase down the target of 170 in just 12.5 overs.

It is worth mentioning that Allen completed the joint-fastest fifty of the ongoing tournament from just 19 balls as New Zealand flew to 84/0 in the first six overs. It is also the highest powerplay score in T20 World Cup history as well.

Tim Seifert contributed a half century from just 28 balls and he created a partnership of a 117-run opening stand with Allen. Having said that, Marco Jansen smashed an unbeaten 55 off 30 balls to rescue South Africa from a deep trouble and his contribution provided a fighting total of 169/8 in 20 overs.

South Africa was at 77/5 at one stage, after captain Mitchell Santner won the toss and opted to bowl. Today India will play against England and the winner will be entering in final to play against New Zealand.
