The team India was known for a huge dominance in Indian soil but it is now history as the new head coach Gautam Gambhir has changed everything. India is losing games in the country and now faces back to back white washouts in India. India has now faced the biggest defeat against South Africa in the history of the Indian Cricket. South Africa has won the test series by 2-0, and the team won both matches of the series by convincing margins.
India lost in just 3 days in the match in Kolkata and South Africa registered a big victory over India in Guwahati as well. It is worth mentioning that South Africa has secured their first series triumph in the country since 2000-01. South Africa has also created a new record by beating team India by over 400 runs in a test match.
Coming back to the match of Guwahati, South Africa created a massive score of 549 and it was impossible to chase down the target, but the batting unit totally failed to face the bowling attack of South Africa. It was disappointing to see the batting unit of team India struggling to play against spinners, and we should remember our incredible batting unit which played the spin attack cleverly.
We must question about the strategy of the head coach Gautam Gambhir and the chief selector Ajith Agarkar because they created this situation for the Indian cricket team. Gautam Gambhir is making unusual experiments and that its making opportunity for the opponents to beat India even in India. Gautam Gambhir and Agarkar neglect specialised batsmen and give huge importance to all-rounders.
The chief selector and the head coach have together created a dangerous situation within the team by applying unwanted pressure on the players. Even after performing well, players have no guarantee of retaining their spot in the next match, as they are dropped and have to play in different positions.
