After appointing Rohit Sharma as the captain of team India for 50 overs and T20 matches, now BCCI has named Rohit Sharma as captain of the test format as well. BCCI has announced Squad for the upcoming test match series and T20 match series against Sri Lanka. BCCI has also appointed Jasprit Bumrah as the vice-captain of the test team. The upcoming test matches series will start on March 4 in Mohali while the second Test will be a day-night affair in Bengaluru from March 12 onwards. The selectors of team India have dropped veteran batters Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane have been dropped from the upcoming test series. Washington Sundar and KL Rahul will not play the upcoming series.
Ravichandran Ashwin is included in the Test squad but he needs to clear the fitness test to play in the matches. So check out the newly announced squad below.
