Royal Challengers Bengaluru aka Virat Kohli ended the long wait for the first IPL trophy. RCB took 18 years to clinch the first ever IPL trophy. The final match was between RCB versus Punjab Kings and it had exciting moments as well as thrilling moments. Liam Livingstone added 25 while Jitesh Sharma contributed 24 to the total and Romario Shepherd added 17. Krunal Pandya added 4 while Bhubaneswar Kumar and Yash Dayal contributed 1 respectively. Royal Challengers Bengaluru ended the innings at 190 with the loss of 9 wickets. Having said that, Arshdeep Singh presented an incredible performance for Punjab Kings in the last over as he took three wickets.

In the reply, Punjab Kings had a decent and stable start as Priyansh Arya contributed 24 from 19 while his partner Prabhsimran Singh added 26. Josh Inglis contributed 39 to the total while the captain of the side Shreyas Iyer missed out and he went back to the pavilion after scoring just 1. That was the major turning point as the wicket of Shreyas Iyer was really crucial.

Nehal Wadhera contributed 15 while Shashank Singh percentage an impressive performance by smashing 61 and he was not out. Marcus Stoinis contributed 6 while Azmatullah Omarzai added 1 but that was not enough for Punjab Kings as they lost the match by 6 runs.
